BE A PART OF THE GIANT:
Want to be a part of making Obsidian Giant great? This is the section that will tell you how to do that each month. For our second month, we will focus on all those stickers we have been handing out!
We asked many of you to take pictures of your Obsidian Giant stickers in interesting places. Now is the time to send in your photo submissions! The photo above was taken in the bathroom of Johnny’s bar in Greenwich Village, NYC. The one below is of our very own super editor Emma placing one outside of The Strand, one of the oldest and most well-known bookstores in the country. We’d like to see where all of you have put yours! Don’t worry, we’ll be handing out more stickers at Steel City Con (SCC) from December 10-13, if you want one to keep close!
All submissions should be sent to: email@example.com or posted to one of our social media sites; links to these are on the webpage. While you’re at it, go ahead and follow us as well! All submissions should be received by 12/31/2021. The winner will be announced in January and will receive an exclusive OG swag bag!
What we’ve been up to:
OG takes NYC by storm! – October 2021
Well, figuratively speaking…some strategically placed stickers count as advertising, and we made some great contacts, too. There’s never an issue turning a birthday trip into a work trip when you love your work!
Lots and Lots of Writing – October and November 2021
J, Emma, and even Leah have been writing to bring you all-new Obsidian Giant content!
A Sequel to Brim?!?!
We told many of you that it was in the works, but it has now officially been sent for print!!!
”A deadly race of mixed Brimaari who inhabit Brim’s moon have fallen down to the planet. The Azuran, as these terrestrials are named, are merciless and want only to regain and conquer what they believe is rightfully theirs. So ensues a planet-wide war of strength, devotion, and bravery, as the inhabitants of Brim rally together to protect their planet from the one known as Lord Vuron…”
It will be available for pre-order on obsidiangiant.com later this week, and will be on the table for SCC!
So remember when we asked you for Haiku?
Emma was the editor, so it was always going to end up being purple. We were very pleased to receive so many diverse submissions from all who participated. The book has been edited and compiled, and was sent for print at the same time as Brim: Exiles. We changed the chapters around a bit based on some of the submissions received, but there’s something in here for everyone! There are many haiku, and even some of the bios, that will make you laugh out loud. Also available for pre-order on the website this week and in person at December’s SCC!
